Harrogate is a popular spa town in the heart of North Yorkshire and east of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The town is well known for its Turkish style baths and health spa and the grand RHS Harlow Carr Gardens but it also happens to be super dog friendly and a great choice for a short break with your four legged friends.

Distance: 2.1km
Time: Approx 1 hour
Start Point: Parking available at HG3 4DW. This relatively easy circular walk takes in the best of Brimham's spectacular rock formations. On site, there's toilets, a shop and a cafe where you can get treats for your four legged friends. This route isn't suitable for prams or wheelchairs and dogs must be kept on leads during nesting and lambing season.
thruscross reservoir

Difficulty: Moderate
Distance: 7.9km
Time: Approx 2 hours
Start Point: Parking available on Reservoir Road, HG3 4BB. This circular walk takes in a wide range of beautiful scenery, from rough pastures and moorland alongside the reservoir to crags, ghylls and streams. One thing to note is that dogs aren't allowed to swim in the river as it's not safe.
