Hi, and welcome to Dog Friendly Yorkshire, the ultimate guide to dog friendly activities, attractions, cafes, bars, shops and walks in the largest and most beautiful county in the UK, (if I do say so myself).

When my gorgeous cockerpoo Wilson joined the family in 2020, we wanted to go on as many adventures as possible with him and make the most of our weekends with our new fur baby. The problem was it was so hard to find anywhere you could take your dog other than for a walk (which the weather in the UK often put a damper on). 

 

Yorkshire is actually full of activities, walks and cafes that cater for our four legged friends, but it was so hard to find all this information in one place, I'd spend hours and hours searching hundreds of websites. In December 2024, I went on maternity leave which meant it was even more important to plan days out where we could take the whole family, because dogs are part of the family after all! It wasn't long before friends and family were asking me for recommendations as well, they were bored of just going to the same places they knew over and over again. So, it only made sense to create Dog Friendly Yorkshire so everyone can access the best Yorkshire has to offer for our fur babies.

Each week, I personally test out new attractions, cafes and walks across the county so you can plan your own adventures.
